DPC Strategic Workforce Plan
The strategic workforce plan identifies workplace priorities and actions that will be implemented to ensure we are building a diverse, skilled and agile workforce capable of delivering our department’s vision and objectives. The Strategic Workforce Plan 2024–2028 supports our department to make a positive difference for Queenslanders now and in the future, and directly links to the department’s Strategic Plan, and aligns to whole-of-government workforce objectives, including An even better public sector Strategy 2024-28.

The Plan has been comprehensively reviewed and focuses on three key objectives including work, workforce and workplace, providing strategies to support the delivery of our vision of being an influential, empowered and safe place to work. It establishes key metrics to measure success and identifies associated risks and opportunities relevant to the department.
The 3 key objectives are:
- Our people are supported in their work to lead the public sector and provide the best advice to deliver outcomes for Queenslanders.
- Our workforce is highly capable and influential and led by strong, future-focused leaders.
- Our workplace is safe, diverse, inclusive and supports the needs of our people.
