How to make an access application
Before making a Right to Information (RTI) access application, check to see if the information is already available.
If you need to make an access application, you can seek access through one of the following options:
- Submit an RTI access application online
- Download an application form and submit it by mail or email (contact details below)
- Submit your request in writing by mail or email (contact details below)
Fees and Charges
There is no application fee or processing charge for applications which are limited to requests for access to documents containing the personal information of the applicant. You may be charged for access to documents (Note: there are no access charges for documents provided electronically).
Applications which include requests for access to documents which do not contain the personal information of applicants must be accompanied by an application fee. This fee cannot be waived.
In addition to the access application fee, you may be charged for:
- processing (if processing documents which do not contain the personal information of the applicant takes longer than five hours).; and
- access to documents (Note: there are no access charges for documents provided electronically).
Processing and/or access charges may be waived in certain circumstances.

Amending Personal Details in Documents
Under the Right to Information Act 2009, you may apply to amend documents containing personal information where you believe the information is inaccurate, misleading, out of date, or incomplete. There is no application fee, but evidence of identity must be provided.
You can apply to amend your personal information through one of the following options:
